Mr FATCHEN (Mount Gambier) (14:30): My question is to the Minister for Infrastructure and Transport. When will the minister make the findings and recommendations of the Regional Public Transport Review public? With your leave, ma'am, and that of the house, I will explain.
Leave granted.
Mr FATCHEN: It has now been four years since the government promised to undertake a regional transport review and 14 months since community consultation was finally undertaken. In the meantime, the City of Mount Gambier continues to operate with an outdated bus service that is widely regarded as no longer fit for purpose and is failing to meet the needs of our growing community.
The Hon. J.K. SZAKACS (Cheltenham—Minister for Infrastructure and Transport) (14:30): I thank the member for his question and his interest in this. As I advised the member for Finniss yesterday, the review itself will be completed this year and we will be communicating and releasing it once it has been received by cabinet.
